Venture the most well known and popular of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Providenciales, to enter a world of lustrous and exotic sceneries. Stretches of beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise lagoons will leave you amazed. Turks and Caicos is well known for its ruins of old plantation houses, mysterious caves and wooden bungalows, so be sure to explore Cheshire Hall to get a real feel of what these islands are all about. Head on down to the capital of the picturesque islands, Cockburn Town on Grand Turk to discover more about the historical early 16th century Spanish shipwreck, renovated and on display at Turks and Caicos National Museum. Next, grab a donkey carriage and take a tour of the town to see the colonial Duke Street and the impressive grandiose limestone houses.
For a nature experience, catch a boat to the North Caicos Island or Turks and Caicos and see the vibrant pink flamingos. This area is also known as the “Garden Island” because of its good farm and rich landscape. Or explore Salt Cay, 9 miles from Grand Turk, to take photos of humpback whales to leave you with lasting holiday memories. For further impressive and stunning sceneries, head to Middle or Grand Caicos to see the extraordinary limestone caves, still salt-ponds and the reflections of stalagmites and stalactites.
The privately owned Pine Cay is also home to the ideal place to relax – 2.5 miles of exquisite beach to while away the day in the gentle balmy breeze and clement sunshine. But before this, sample local cuisine of freshly fried fish, washed down with Turks and Caicos rum cocktails in Providenciales.
