Butlins has teamed up with an university in order to introduce a foundation degree that i
s for ambitious Redcoats. The holiday company has joined the University of Chichester, which is located in West Sussex, for the introduction of a musical theater performance course next moth at their Bognor Regis campus. Over the two years taking the course, the students will be studying performance ability, rehearsals, and productions, which may turn out to be followed with a third year in the program in order to complete a Hons in music.

Comet is United Kingdom’s 2nd largest electrical retailer, with 250 stores and 10,000 employees. Comet’s motto is to provide its customers with the lowest prices everyday. A very important key component to Comet’s success and strategy is its recent leap into the online retail market by launching a transactional website, comet.co.uk, and by creating a private online auction site, clearance-comet.co.uk, a first from a major UK electrical retailer.

HMV, the largest entertainment retailer in the United Kingdom and Canada, pulled all of Alanis Morissette’s albums and DVDs off of store shelves. The drastic move is to protest Morissette’s deal with Starbucks to exclusively sell her new album for the first six weeks after the release. The new album is a celebratory 10th anniversary acoustic version of Jagged Little Pill. After the six weeks period, the album will be available for sale by traditional music retailers.
