British Gas May Lose Gas
Sunday, August 17th, 2008British Gas, who is bidding 13.8 billion dollars on Origin Energy of Australia, may be made to sell their assets in the Queensland Gas Company in order to win the approval of the competition watchdog, according to Credit Suisse. The group may consider giving up a deal with Queensland Gas Company as well for the marketing natural gas jointly in Australia in order to secure clearance from Australia’s Competition and Consumer Commission on the offer for Origin, which is based in Sydney, says a report from Credit Suisse.
