Marks & Spencer and Postilion Implement Gift Cards

Postilion, a premier provider for software solutions of self-service payments and banking, as well as part of S1 Corporation, announced on Tuesday that a gift card programme implementation has been completed by Marks & Spencer based on the solutions from Postilion. The solution of Postilion Card Issuer allows retailers to manage their gift cards’ entire lifecycle, including electronic vouchers, gift card certificates, and traditional paper vouchers.

Marks and Spencer to open new outlet store

Even with their recent market share’s ups and downs, 40 is a lucky number for retail giant Marks and Spencer. The mega company just announced the opening of their 40th outlet store in the UK. The new 11,000 square feet store will be located at the friendly area of Gloucester Quays and it will be developed in 2009. (more…)

Charging for Bags is a Success Says Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer has announced that they have achieved a reduction of 80% in the total amount of food bags that are used since their launch in the United Kingdom of charging for carrier bags in the early part of May.  This reduction means that the customers who shop with Marks & Spencer have used more than 70 million less carrier, plastic bags during the last 10 weeks.
