Policyholders Advocate says Everyone will be Pleased with Norwich Union Deal

The policyholders of Norwich Union will have made a good deal pending that the decision of the company to hand over 1 billion pounds is accepted by the judges of the high court, says Claire Spottiswoode, the advocate of the policyholders. The pensions and life provider searched for the reattribution of their inherited estate to save future profit build ups for the inherited estate of the company, even though the policyholders can refuse the payouts, averaging 1,000 pounds per person, and claim a future distribution share of the estate.

Norwich Union Life to Cut 500 Jobs

As many as 500 jobs are going to be cut following the confirmation from Norwich Union Life that they will be outsourcing a couple of their operations that are currently based in their Yorkshire centre. The firm has also announced that they plan to transfer their work from the city to their partner firms in Glasgo, Essex, and Basildon. The insurance company confirmed that the operations involve as many as 500 staff members, but they said that it was too soon to tell how many redundancies they will be making in Yorkshire.
